FIRST ROUND COMPLETE
Saturday, February 17, 2018 - Submitted by Mike Stackhouse
In an unlikely series of road warriors, the Ochapowace Thunder have advanced to the semi-finals against the Theodore Buffalos after blanking the hometown Esterhazy Warriors 5-0 on Friday night to take the best of three 2-games-to-1.  The road team won all three games in the series.

Ryan Person got the shutout, while Kailum Gervais and Jonas Thomson had two goals apiece.  Thomson finished the series with a team high 5-points, as did Gervais who missed game two because of a suspension.  Sterling Bear had the other Thunder goal.

Nic Chartier scored twice and setup another in leading Bredenbury past Kipling/Windthorst 5-2 and a sweep in their best of three series.

Zach Korchinski, Kirk Byczynski, and Clarke Byczynski rounded out the scoring for the Cougars, who advance to face Rocanville in the semis.  Dan Loeffler had both Oil Kings goals.
