- Submitted by

Zak Majkowski scored a goal and two assists as the Bredenbury Cougars defeated the visiting Ochapowace Thunder 5-1 on Thursday night, handing the Thunder their first regulation time loss of the season.

Nic Chartier added a pair of goals for the Cougars, who improve to 5-and-1 and move to within two points of Ochapowace for first place in the standings.

Don St. Marie and Jamie Harrick added singles for Bredenbury, while Anthony Kinistino had the lone Thunder goal.

With 20 goals allowed in 6 games, Bredenbury has been the stingiest team in the league thus far.  Chartier, with his pair, leads the team with 7 goals and 11 points.

On a separate note, the game on Saturday between Rocanville and Theodore has been postponed to a later date.
