BUFFS ON VERGE OF FINALS
Wednesday, March 15, 2017 - Submitted by Mike Stackhouse

The Theodore Buffalos scored four goals in the final seven minutes of the second period to blow open a one-goal game and cruise to a 7-2 win over the Bredenbury Cougars on Tuesday night, assuming a 2-1 lead in the best of five semi-final.

Derek Serdachny scored a powerplay goal at 13:16 of the middle frame and then Justin Keller, Serdachny, and Bryan Hull all connected within a minute of each late in the period to put the contest out of reach.

Logan Calanchie, Shadoe Konan, and Kevin Stringfellow also scored for the Buffs and Rylan Palchewich got the win in goal.

Jon Jensen and Kirk Byczynski scored for Bredenbury, who will try and force a game five on home ice tomorrow night.  If necessary, game five is Friday in Theodore.
